Terms of Service
These terms are the rules for using the Kata app (“the app”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Who we are
The app is provided by [operator name and country]. You can reach us at support@katawords.online. In these terms “we” means the provider of the app.
2. Your account
- You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we send to it. You need an account to use the app.
- Give an email address that is yours. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so do not share the codes we send you.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account, Delete account). This deletes it and your progress, and it cannot be undone.
3. What the app is
The app helps you learn Indonesian words with cards. Your progress (which cards you know and when to see them again) is saved on your phone and in your account so that you can continue on another phone. The app needs an internet connection to sign in and to sync; studying works without one.
4. Using the app
Please use the app only for learning, for yourself. Do not try to break it, to get into other people’s accounts, to overload our servers, or to copy the word lists, sentences or audio to publish or sell them.
5. Our content
The app, its design, word lists, sentences and audio belong to us or to those who license them to us. You may use them inside the app for your own learning. We do our best to make the content correct, but a translation or a sentence can contain mistakes.
6. Paid features
The app is free for now. If we add a paid subscription, its price, length and how to cancel will be shown before you pay, the payment will go through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and these terms will be updated.
7. No guarantee
The app is provided “as is”. We cannot promise that it will always work without interruption or errors, or that it will get you to a particular level of Indonesian. The service can be down or changed.
8. Our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for losses that come from your phone, your internet connection or other services we do not control. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have by law and that cannot be limited.
9. Ending
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or stop the app, with notice where that is reasonable. When an account is closed, its data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes
We may change these terms, for example when the app changes. We will show the new text here and change the date above. If a change is important, we will tell you in the app. Using the app after a change means you accept it.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of [country or state], except where the law of your country gives you stronger rights as a consumer. [Courts / how disputes are settled.]
